What it will cost

When estimating costs for the trek, you need to factor in the following:

• Trekking permit: NRs 2000
  
• Accommodation (averages around NRs 200-300 per night - more for attached bathrooms) and food: around NRs 1000-1200 per person per day
  
• Taxi or bus to and from Pokhara to the start/finish of the trek
• Use of internet
• Postcards and postage
• Alcohol and snacks
• Donations to enter gompas
  

Budget for around NRs 2000 per person per day.

Note: these costs are based on a teahouse/lodge trek, not camping, and have been updated in early 2012.
